External Description

Villa Baccio is a luxury property with dependance, located in a breathtaking landscape, among vineyards and hills, just outside the historic center of Greve in Chianti.
Surrounded by a large park (of about 30 hectares) with lawn, plants and trees, the villa offers several services and facilities such as:
- a beautiful pool (6 x 12 m, open from May to October), equipped with sunbeds, mattresses, parasols and pool bar (open every day);
- outdoor hot tub, Finnish sauna and outdoor gym (their use is included in the price);
- piped music along all boundaries of the property;
- an open-air cinema: a real large screen with comfortable armchairs and poufs under the stars, immersed in the Chianti countryside;
- an internal restaurant with an orangery, where guests can comfortably have lunch/dinner;
- private parking for about 12 cars with electric charging stations;
- a real farm, where guests can admire and feed the alpacas, peacocks, goats, sheep, rabbits, turkeys, roosters and hens;
- a pond with geese, ducks and carp;
- an organic garden, where km0 and organic products are grown and used by the chefs of the internal restaurant;
- a vineyard, an olive grove and a saffron field that provide wine, oil and saffron used both by the chefs of the internal restaurant and for sale to customers;
- an area dedicated to the barbecue and wood-burning oven for pizza;
- a historic cellar and a small deconsecrated chapel where tastings and direct sales of local products are held;
- a laundromat with: dryer, washing machine, drying racks, iron and ironing board.

Internal Description

The entire property is made up of the main building and a dependance. It can accommodate up to 34 people, has 16 bedrooms and 19 bathrooms. All bedrooms are equipped with: Internet Wifi, air conditioning, safe, satellite tv, mini fridge, kettle, hairdryer and mosquito nets. Baby cots and high chairs are available free of charge upon request. Pets are allowed upon request.

Main building: The magnificent farmhouse consists of 3 suites, 2 bedrooms and 4 apartments as follows:

- Suite 1, located on the 1st floor with access from the 16th century stone staircase. It can sleep 2 people, has 1 mezzanine double bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower, and a sitting room.

- Suite 2, located on the 1st floor with a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and vineyards. It can sleep 2 people, has 1 mezzanine double bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower, and a sitting room.

- Bedroom 1, located on the ground floor with easy access (no stairs). It can sleep 2 people, has 1 double bed, 2 bathrooms (one with shower and one toilet), and a sitting room.

- Bedroom 2, located on the ground floor with double access, and overlooking the terrace of the farmhouse. It can sleep 2 people, has 1 double bed and 1 bathroom with shower.

- Bedroom 3, located on the ground floor with independent access from the outside. It can sleep 2 people, has 1 double bed and 1 bathroom with shower, accessible to guests with disabilities.

- Apartment 1, located on the ground floor with private outdoor space and view over the villa's garden. It can sleep 2 people, and is made up of: 1 double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (with shower), a kitchen/dining room, and a sitting room with fireplace.

- Apartment 2, set on 2 levels with private outdoor space. It consists of 2 suites and can sleep 6 people. The first suite has a double bed on the ground floor, and two mezzanine single beds, which leads to an adjoining sitting room, and private bathroom (with shower); the second suite has a mezzanine double bed, a comfortable sitting room on the ground floor, and a private bathroom (with shower). The apartment is completed by a large kitchen with dining table and fireplace.

- Apartment 3, located on the ground floor with a large outdoor pergola (with a dining table). It can sleep 4 people and consists of: an entrance hall with fireplace, a kitchen/dining room and two mezzanine double bedrooms, both with ensuite bathroom (with shower).

- Apartment 4, located in the farmhouse’s tower (the highest part of the building), is spread over 2 levels and can accommodate 4 people. The first floor includes a large kitchen/dining room with a wood-burning fireplace and view over the hills. From here, an internal staircase leads to the two double bedrooms in the tower, both with ensuite bathroom (with shower). The master bedroom boasts a breathtaking panorama of the landscape while the second bedroom, smaller and more intimate, features access to a small terrace with beautiful views.

Dependance: The dependance - once the barn of the estate - houses 2 apartments, divided as follows:

- Apartment 1, set on 2 levels, can sleep 4 people. On the ground floor there is a large living room with fireplace, a toilet, and a kitchen which leads to the covered loggia and the large private terrace with table and garden. The first floor consists of 2 double bedrooms, both with ensuite bathroom (with shower). One of the bedrooms also has a panoramic terrace.

- Apartment 2, spread over 2 levels, can sleep 4 people. The ground floor houses a large living room with fireplace, kitchen and toilet, as well as a covered loggia and a large private terrace with table. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms, both with ensuite bathroom (with shower). One of the bedrooms also has a panoramic terrace.

Prices and conditions

Included in the price: Utilities (water, gas, electricity); final cleaning; daily housekeeping; breakfast; Internet Wifi; house, garden and pool maintenance; use of the pool, the outdoor hot tub, the Finnish sauna, and the outdoor gym and cinema.

Excluded from the price: Extra services on request (internal restaurant, cooking courses, private chef, Chianti wine/oil/saffron tasting, transfer, bike and e-bike rental, farm tours, massages and face/body treatments, and more).

Places to visit

Villa Baccio is situated on top of the hill in the beautiful Tuscan Chianti countryside, halfway between Florence and Siena, and just outside the historic center of Greve in Chianti. In Greve you will find typical "trattorias" and restaurants, as well as all basic shops (including supermarket, bank and pharmacy).
The wonderful Chianti area is known worldwide for the prestigious wine to which it gives birth (the typical mark of the Gallo Nero), and for its evocative sceneries and charming villages which are along the “Via Chiantigiana”, from Greve to Gaiole, from Castellina to Radda.
It is also worth visiting the countryside of Siena. Here, in fact, you can admire other medieval gems like San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, and San Galgano.
For golf lovers, in just 20 minutes by car you can reach the Ugolino Golf Club, a highly technical 18-hole course inaugurated in 1934, and based on a design by Cecil Blandford and Peter Gannon.
